Landscaping

Newly created flower bed. Cathy Rosinski (next photo) provided plants and mulch, some from her own garden and the rest from a local greenhouse (July 22, 07) Laura Kemp-Rye and children contemplating planting. Louise Shepherd helped with selection of the plants and guided the children with placement of plants in the bed.
A garden party. More neighborhood kids and parents join in as the garden begins to take shape.   The flower garden completed.  More photos to come as the plants grow and bloom. Ralph LaRue (tan shirt), BOPARC maintenance supervisor, and his crew prepare the front lawn for grass seeding.

Seeding completed and straw being spread to protect seed from birds. Look at how well the flower bed has grown and bloomed since July 21 (now August 16) This new sign, at the corner of Center St. and Eureka Dr., identifies the new Community Center & Center for Active Aging. A new sign also now identifies the old school as on the National Register of Historic Places.  A permanent sign will eventually be places in the window behind the current temporary sign.
