"The Little School With A Big Heart"
Note: This website is under construction. Rather than wait until the site is fully composed, we have chosen to publish as we compose. We will have the "Blog" and "Contact Us" pages active soon so that alumni and friends can participate, with constructive comments and questions, in composition of the site.
Wiles Hill Elementary was closed in 1999. The Wiles Hill Community, with the support of school alumni and friends, along with Morgantown City Council, found alternative uses: the building and grounds were purchased with a loan from the City and transferred to the Board of Park and Recreation Commissioneers (BOPARC) for use as a Park in North Morgantown with the school itself as a Senior/Community Center. In 2002 BOPARC nominated the school for inclusion on the National Register of Historic Places. The school was added to the Resister in 2004. In 2016 the school also became home to The Wiles Hill Alumni Association Foundation, sponsor of this website.
